Royal Palm Investigations, LLC is led by Christopher Rizzi, a 28 year retired veteran of the Suffolk County Police Department, NY, having served 15 years as a detective. During this time, he was also
assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office for 13 years, one of the largest suburban prosecutorial offices in the US.

Working in the same office as prosecutors allowed him to gain invaluable experience in the prosecution of both state and federal crimes on Long Island and in the Southern & Eastern Districts of NY. Additionally, he gained insight into the operations of Assistant District Attorneys and Assistant US Attorneys.

Christopher is an expert in wiretap investigations, having developed his skills over 15 years. While working in the District Attorney’s Office, Christopher was the primary affiant/coordinator on a number of wiretap investigations. His work led to the successful arrest and prosecution of over one hundred defendants and the execution of numerous search warrants. This includes joint agency cases with the FBI & HSI. In addition, Christopher has served as a mentor and trainer to other detectives, providing them with the knowledge and skills required for the successful completion of wiretap investigations.

Christopher also has extensive experience in dealing with various criminal matters including Government Corruption, Organized Crime (RICO, gambling, loan sharking, extortion, etc.), Gangs (MS-13, bloods), Environmental Crimes, Murder for Hire, Insurance & Healthcare Fraud, Mortgage/ Financial Fraud, Arson, and Narcotics.

Christopher began his detective work in the Narcotics squad for two years, during which he obtained skills that he has continued to use throughout his career. He became adept at managing confidential sources, operating covert audio/video equipment, and expertly conducting surveillance. Crucial to these operations was the ability to blend into any environment or to remain hidden in plain sight.

For two years, Christopher was a member of the Federal Taskforce for Homeland Security Investigations, which is under the jurisdiction of the Dept. of Homeland Security. During his tenure, he was part of a team dedicated to combating organized crime and transnational gangs.

Christopher is an experienced interviewer and has taken part in over 250 proffer sessions. During these interviews, he has conducted extensive questioning and debriefings with suspects and defendants, culminating in cooperation agreements or plea bargains.

Christopher’s work experience before his career in law enforcement included 6 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. During this time, he was activated for Operation Desert Shield/Storm and served in the Persian Gulf as a Communication technician.
